Who we are

verniesprinting.com is the website of sprinter Vernie Toaolamai-Holden. It is run by his father and manager, Vern Holden, and built and hosted by Taki Consulting in Christchurch, New Zealand.

We follow the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020. Questions about your information go to vern@takiconsulting.nz.

What we collect, and why

Sponsorship enquiries. When you fill in the enquiry form on our Contact page, we receive the details you type into it. The form is run by Zoho Forms for Taki Consulting, and Zoho stores the answers in its Australian data centre. We use them only to reply to you and to manage any sponsorship that follows.

Email. If you email us, we keep the message and your address so we can reply.

Visitor statistics. We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. It sets cookies and tells Google about your visit (for example the pages viewed, your browser and your approximate location). It does not tell us who you are. You can block it with your browser's privacy settings or the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.

Other services the site uses

Videos come from YouTube. Nothing loads from YouTube until you press play; after that, YouTube's own privacy policy applies. We use its privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com).

The fonts come from Google Fonts, so Google sees your IP address when the page loads.

The site is hosted by Hostinger, whose servers keep standard access logs.

What we do not do

We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it except with the services above so the site can work.

This website is about a young athlete, but it is written for sponsors, media and supporters. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

How long we keep it

Enquiries and emails are kept for as long as we need them to deal with you and to keep a record of any sponsorship, then deleted.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, by emailing vern@takiconsulting.nz.

If you are not happy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
